What is glutathione?
Glutathione is an antioxidant your body makes naturally. In the body, glutathione is part of the cell’s own antioxidant system. Whether injections add protection in healthy people has not been established.
Some patients explore glutathione with their clinician for general wellness goals. Evidence is limited, and use for these goals is off-label. Your clinician will tell you whether it’s appropriate for you.
Compounded glutathione is not FDA-approved. Your clinician reviews whether it fits your goals and health history.
Prescribed only if appropriate after a licensed provider review. Images show models, not patients.

How compounded medications work
Compounded medications are prescribed for an individual patient by a licensed clinician after a medical assessment, and prepared by a state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. They do not undergo FDA pre-market review or approval, and they may differ from FDA-approved drugs in effectiveness, safety and side effects. Results from clinical trials of FDA-approved medications should not be used to judge compounded medications.
Glutathione injection is not FDA-approved for antioxidant, “detox,” wellness, or skin-lightening uses, and it is prescribed off-label.
For adults 18 and older located in Florida.
Important Safety Information
Prescription only. Treatment is prescribed only if a licensed provider determines it is medically appropriate after reviewing your health history. A prescription is never guaranteed.
