Every program includes your clinician, follow-ups, dose adjustments and shipping and, if prescribed, your medication. Brand-name care is billed separately, as shown above.
Using insurance for Zepbound® or Wegovy®

About compounded medications
Compounded medications are prescribed for an individual patient by a licensed clinician after a medical assessment, and prepared by a state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. They do not undergo FDA pre-market review or approval, and they may differ from FDA-approved drugs in effectiveness, safety and side effects. Results from clinical trials of FDA-approved medications should not be used to judge compounded medications.

Does insurance cover Zepbound® or Wegovy®?
Some plans do, usually after a prior authorization. Nutree Clinic's 45-minute consultation is $120, follow-ups are $49, and we can prepare your prior authorization for $50. The medication is billed by your pharmacy or the manufacturer's self-pay program; its cost depends on your coverage and any manufacturer savings program.
Is compounded GLP-1 the same as Zepbound® or Wegovy®?
No. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are different products from Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro® or Zepbound®. They are prepared for an individual patient by a state-licensed 503A pharmacy and are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Every fee is shown before you pay. Brand-name follow-ups ($49), prior-authorization assistance ($50) and labs, when needed, are priced separately and shown upfront. Program fees are published and the same for every patient; if a dose change affects your fee, we tell you before you are charged.
